New Refresh Concept: Quorra

Totally stealing Musk’s format here, but if there’s any hero I’d like to see get a Refresh more than any other, it’s muh gurl, Quorra. In certain circumstances, she can do mildly respectable damage, but those circumstances are rare, and she’s much too squishy and RNG reliant to see those circumstances to fruition 99% of the time. So here are my ideas to make her the team-shredding menace she was meant to be!


The Refresh

General

  • Quorra’s badges have been altered to also give her 65% Reality Negation and 80% Fantastic Crit at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 100%
  • Skill power increased by 50%
  • HP increased by 155%
  • Base attack speed increased by 15%
  • Base movement speed increased by 30%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Disc Spin

  • Increased damage by 100%
  • Increased splash radius by 50%
  • Relocated effect: Now gains a modified version of current Grid Power effect

"Quorra attacks nearby enemies with her light disc and sword, dealing X damage plus 8% of the target’s maximum HP with each attack. Quorra attacks 7 times.

The extra HP-based damage is reduced against enemies above level X."

:green_circle: Green Skill - Light Cycle

  • Increased damage by 200%
  • Now Stuns enemies with Shield or Reflect for 4 seconds
  • Quorra will now use this ability a second time upon reaching 1 HP

"At the start of combat, Quorra rides her lightbike past the enemies, dealing X damage to each enemy. Quorra is untargetable while riding her lightbike, and this attack will Stun enemies with Shield or Reflect buffs for 4 seconds.

Quorra will use this ability a second time upon reaching 1 HP for the first time each wave."

  • Increased damage of both hits by 200%
  • Now innately hits all enemies, and deals the same damage to all of them
  • Now innately Saps all enemies for 16 seconds
  • Invincible enemies will have their Invincibility buff removed

"Quorra throws her light disc at the furthest enemy, dealing X damage and Sapping them for 16 seconds. It then bounces, dealing its damage to all other enemies and Sapping them for 16 seconds as well.

If this ability hits an Invincible enemy, their Invincibility buff is removed."

  • Old effect relocated to Disc Spin
  • New effect:

“Quorra ignores the usual effects of Reflect. When Quorra attacks an enemy with Reflect, she instead causes all nearby enemies to take 25% of the damage that would have been Reflected, plus X Fantastic damage.”

:red_circle: Red Skill - Disc Damage

  • Bonus Normal Crit and Fantastic Crit apply to enemies that are Sapped
  • New effect: Each time Quorra hits a Shielded or Reflected enemy, her attack speed is permanently increased by 30%, up to a maximum of 180%.
  • New effect: When Disc Ricochet removes an Invincibility effect from an enemy, they become Shattered for 10 seconds.
  • Bonus stats unchanged

"All of Quorra’s attacks gain 65 Normal Crit and 80 Fantastic Crit against Sapped enemies.

Each time Quorra hits a Shielded enemy, her Attack Speed is increased by 30%, to a maximum of 180%.

When Disc Ricochet removes an Invincibility effect from an enemy, that enemy becomes Shattered for 10 seconds. Shattered enemies take 8% of their maximum HP in True damage each time they take Fantastic damage, and damage over time effects can only trigger this damage once per second. The Shatter has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."


Friend Campaign Disks

Disk #1 - EVE

  • Current Level Effect: Healing increased by 100%
  • Added Level Effect: Each hit of Disc Spin reduces enemy Armor and Reality by X for 8 seconds
  • Current Star Effect: Bonus Normal Crit and Fantastic Crit increased to 10 per star (to a maximum of 50 Normal and Fantastic Crit at 5 stars)
  • Added Star Effect: Quorra gains 10 Crit Damage per star (to a maximum of 50 Crit Damage at 5 stars)

Disk #2 - Buzz Lightyear

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Skill Power by 425%
  • Added Star Effect: The Shield deals Fantastic damage to the enemy team equal to 20% of its Shield HP per star (to a maximum of 100% of shield HP at 5 stars) when destroyed

New Refresh Concept: Duke Caboom

This wacky stunt driver is all flash and no bang. Let’s change that.


The Refresh

General

  • Duke’s badges have been adjusted to also give him 40% Armor Negation and 55% Crit Damage at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 250%
  • Skill power increased by 75%
  • HP increased by 250%
  • Base movement speed increased by 50%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Stunt Spectacular

  • Each hit now escalates in damage, dealing 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x damage per hit
  • Added current effect of Goofy Friend Disk: Stunt Spectacular knocks back enemies hit by a small amount

"Duke Caboom rides across the battlefield performing motorcycle tricks, dealing X damage to all enemies 4 times and knocking them back with each hit.

The damage escalates with each hit, dealing 1x, 1.5x, 2x, and 3x damage respectively."

:green_circle: Green Skill - Pop a Wheelie

  • Now deals its damage every second for 3 seconds
  • Increased splash radius by 50%
  • Reduced initial cooldown by 1 second and total cooldown by 5 seconds

“Duke Caboom pops a wheelie, dealing X damage per second for 3 seconds to enemies in front of him.”

:large_blue_circle: Blue Skill - Oh Yeah

  • Increased attack and movement speed increase to 125%
  • Duke Caboom can now benefit from this effect
  • Added effect: Also heals Duke and allies for 50% of Duke’s maximum HP
  • Reduced cooldown by 3 seconds

"Duke Caboom salutes his team, increasing the attack and movement speed of himself and his allies by 125% for 9 seconds. This also heals Duke and his allies for an amount equal to 50% of Duke’s maximum HP.

The speed increase has a chance to fail on allies above level X."

:purple_circle: Purple Skill - Stunt Double

  • Now deals its damage to all enemies regardless of location
  • Increased damage by 100%
  • Added effect: Now Stuns affected enemies for 7.5 seconds

“After using Stunt Spectacular, Duke Caboom crashes his bike and deals X damage over 8 seconds to all enemies. Affected enemies are also Stunned for 7.5 seconds.”

:red_circle: Red Skill - Yes I Can-ada!

  • Added effect: Duke Caboom’s critical hits become super crits against stunned enemies
  • Bonus HP increased by 100%
  • Bonus damage to Stunt Double increased by 250%

In addition, Stunt Spectacular’s base damage is increased by 30%.

The extra damage to Stunt Spectacular is less effective against enemies above level X."

  • New Star Effect: Pop a Wheelie now removes 3 (+1 per additional star) random buffs from affected enemies.

  • Current Level Effect: Increased bonus Skill Power by 150%
  • Added Level Effect: +X Basic Damage

  • Added Star Effect: Duke Caboom gains 20% Evasion (+10% per additional star)

New Refresh Concept: Sally

One of my favorite heroes in the game conceptually, Sally is meant to be a threatening damage-sponge tank that dishes out heavy retaliation to her opponents while doing respectable DoT damage in her own right. As of right now, she doesn’t so much retaliate as she does tickle, and she’s much too frail to boot, so she’s failing at all of her mission statements. Let’s fix that.


The Refresh

General

  • Sally’s Poison stacks will now appear in the debuff icons above the enemy with the number of stacks clearly shown.
  • Sally’s badges have been adjusted, giving her roughly 80% Reality Negation, 60% Fantastic Crit, 55% Crit Damage, and 75% Tenacity at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 60%
  • Skill power increased by 50%
  • HP increased by 160%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Deadly Nightshade

  • Sally’s basic attack now deals damage, in addition to applying Poison stacks
  • Sally’s basic attack deals Fantastic damage
  • Poison now stacks without limit, instead of capping at 3 stacks
  • Poison’s periodic damage increased by 300%
  • Activating this skill deals 50% increased damage per Poison stack
  • New effect: When Sally removes her Poison stacks by activating this ability, she also removes 3 buffs from each affected enemy

"Passive: Sally’s basic attacks deal Fantastic damage and also apply 2 stacks of Poison to each enemy hit. Each stack of Poison deals X Fantastic damage every second until removed, and can stack without limit.

Active: Sally consumes all stacks of Poison, dealing X damage per stack of Poison consumed to poisoned enemies. Enemies hit by this ability also have 3 random buffs removed."

  • Increased damage by 200%
  • Increased splash radius by 50%
  • Reduced initial cooldown by 1.5 seconds and total cooldown by 2 seconds
  • New effect: Apply 3 stacks of Fatigue to affected enemies

“Sally throws a flask at the furthest enemy, dealing X damage and applying 2 stacks of Poison and 3 stacks of Fatigue to all enemies in the area.”

:large_blue_circle: Blue Skill - Something in the Wind

  • Increased HP recovery by 200%
  • Increased radius of toxic cloud by 100%
  • The toxic cloud will remain for the rest of the wave instead of expiring after 10 seconds
  • Increased Poison stack generation to 1 per second
  • New effect: Sally gains 6 stacks of Hardy and becomes Invincible for 6 seconds upon reviving
  • New effect: Sally’s allies gain X Skill Power for 12 seconds

"Once per wave, when Sally reaches 0 HP, she releases a toxic cloud and revives, regaining X HP. She also gains 6 stacks of Hardy and becomes Invincible for 6 seconds.

Sally’s allies gain X Skill Power for 12 seconds when this ability is activated.

The toxic cloud remains around Sally for the rest of the wave until she is KO’d, applying a stack of Poison every second to all enemies within range."

:purple_circle: Purple Skill - Stronger Than She Seams

  • Increased maximum HP gain by 100%
  • New effect: Enemies affected by Deadly Nightshade’s active effect become Distracted by Sally for 8 seconds
  • New effect: Sally takes 50% reduced damage from enemies affected by Poison

"When Sally activates Deadly Nightshade, affected enemies become Distracted by Sally for 8 seconds.

Sally gains an extra X maximum HP and takes 50% reduced damage from Poisoned enemies."

:red_circle: Red Skill - Fog Juice

  • Red Skill effect reworked slightly
  • Increased damage per second by 100%
  • No changes to the stat boosts

"Once every 8 seconds, when Sally loses 20% of her maximum HP, she gains 80% damage mitigation for 4 seconds and releases a toxic cloud that travels across the screen, dealing X damage per second to enemies within the cloud and applying 2 stacks of Poison to each affected enemy per second.

The damage mitigation is reduced against enemies above level X."

Disk #1 - Yax

  • Current Level Effect: Increased bonus Reality by 100%
  • Added Level Effect: Sally’s toxic clouds from Something in the Wind and Fog Juice give allies X additional Reality for 8 seconds
  • Current Star Effect: Tank Reality bonus changed to +20% (+20% per additional star)
  • Added Star Effect: After Something in the Wind is activated, Sally will heal for 2% (+2% per additional star) of her maximum HP every second for 12 seconds.

Disk #2 - Tia Dalma

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Deadly Nightshade bonus damage by 100%
  • Added Level Effect: +X Skill Power to Sally and allies
  • Current Star Effect: Removed
  • New Star Effect: Poison now reduces affected enemies’ Basic Damage and Skill Power by 12% (+12% per additional star) for the duration.
  • New Star Effect: Activating Deadly Nightshade now reduces affected enemies’ Reality by 15% (+15% per additional star) for 8 seconds.

New Refresh Concept: Jack Skellington

The Pumpkin King certainly has seen better days, that’s for sure. Intended to be one of the premier Scare units, Jack Skellington is now anything but. And he is way, way too slow to boot! By focusing on improving his damage and giving his crowd control a bit of extra oomph, let’s see if we can make the #1 celebrity of Halloween Town into a real spooky powerhouse.


The Refresh

General

  • Jack’s badges have been adjusted, granting him 70% Reality Negation, 65% Fantastic Crit, 50% Tenacity, and 45% Crit Damage at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 100%
  • Skill power increased by 75%
  • HP increased by 100%
  • Base attack speed increased by 100%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Master of Fright

  • The passive damage over time is now dealt every second for 5 seconds instead of in total over 3 seconds, and the damage per second has been increased by 300%
  • Both the Scare and Stun duration have been increased to 8 seconds
  • New effect: Enemies affected by this ability also have their Energy reduced by 250

"Passive: Jack sets his pumpkins aflame, making his basic attacks do Fantastic damage while dealing an additional X damage every second for 5 seconds.

Active: Jack twists his face into a horrible sight, Scaring and Stunning enemies for 8 seconds and removing 250 Energy from them.

The Scare, Stun, and Energy removal have a chance to fail against enemies above level X."

:green_circle: Green Skill - What’s This?!

  • Increased damage by 700%
  • Initial cooldown reduced by 1.5 seconds
  • Scare duration increased to 8 seconds
  • New effect: The toy duck now drags the furthest enemy with it all the way to the player’s frontline and applies 5 stacks of Fatigue to that enemy

"Jack throws a present at the farthest enemy and a maniacal toy duck emerges, Scaring nearby enemies for 8 seconds before traveling back towards Jack. The duck hits all enemies for X damage as it travels.

The duck also drags the furthest enemy with it to the player’s frontline, applying 5 stacks of Fatigue to the dragged enemy.

The Scare has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."

  • Increased splash radius by 100%
  • New effect: Jack’s basic attacks deal additional damage to all enemies hit
  • New effect: Jack gains 100% increased attack speed for the duration as well as 5 stacks of Hardy when activated

"Jack engulfs himself in flames for 10 seconds, gaining 5 stacks of Hardy and causing his basic attacks to deal X additional damage and splash to multiple enemies. Jack’s Attack Speed is increased by 100% for the duration

The Hardy application has a chance to fail above level X."

  • Increased healing by 400%
  • New effect: Jack’s basic attacks increase the duration of Stuns and Scares on the target by 2 seconds

“Jack and his allies heal X HP whenever they damage a Scared enemy. In addition, Jack’s basic attacks increase the duration of Stuns and Scares on the target by 2 seconds.”

  • Removed the level requirement from applying Scare on basic attacks
  • Stat increases unchanged
  • New effect: While under the effects of Jack-O-Lantern, Jack’s basic attacks remove 2 random buff from each enemy hit, with a chance to fail against enemies above level X

"If Jack or any of his allies Scare an enemy who is already Scared, the enemy takes X damage. Jack’s basic attacks also Scare enemies for 5 seconds.

While under the effects of Jack-O-Lantern, Jack’s basic attacks remove 2 random buffs from each enemy hit.

  • Added Star Effect: When Jack reaches 0 HP, he Cleanses himself of all debuffs and becomes Invincible for 1.5 (+1.5 per additional star) seconds.

Disk #2 - Mad Hatter

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Skill Power bonus by 350%
  • Added Star Effect: The additional toy ducks each drag a random enemy to the player’s frontline and apply 1 (+1 per additional star) stacks of Fatigue to them.

“Mike eats his microphone and then belches, dealing X damage to all enemies. Enemies become Grossed Out, causing them to take 15% of their maximum HP as Fantastic damage each time they attack or use an ability for 9 seconds.”

  • Scare duration increased to 10 seconds and now Scares all enemies
  • Initial cooldown reduced by 1 second and total cooldown by 2 seconds
  • New effect: This ability now also deals X Fantastic damage to the nearest enemy and deals 75% of that damage to all other enemies

"Mike throws a scream canister at the closest enemy, dealing X Fantastic damage to the target and 75% of the damage to all other enemies. All enemies are then Scared for 10 seconds.

The Scare has a chance fail against enemies above level X."

  • Increased damage by 1100%
  • Cooldown reduced by 6 seconds
  • New effect: Mike knocks back all enemies hit by this ability

“Mike rolls across the battlefield, dealing X damage to all enemies and knocking them back.”

:purple_circle: Purple Skill - Fight or Fright

  • Increased bonus Stun duration to 5 seconds
  • New effect: Mike gains X Basic Damage for 6 seconds each time he hits a Scared enemy with his basic attack, stacking up to 3 times
  • New effect: When Mike is affected by a Scare, he gains +75% attack speed for the duration

"When Mike damages a Scared enemy, he also Stuns them for 5 seconds. He also gains X Basic Damage for 6 seconds each time he hits a Scared enemy with his basic attacks, stacking up to 3 times.

When Mike is affected by a Scare, he gains 75% Attack Speed for the duration.

The Stun has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."

:red_circle: Red Skill - Let it Roll

  • On a Roll will now Cleanse Mike of all debuffs when activated and now automatically activates at 50% HP and at 1 HP
  • New effect: After using On a Roll, Mike gains Reflect for 4 seconds
  • Bonus stats unchanged

"Each time Mike uses On a Roll, he gains Reflect for 4 seconds when the ability ends. When Mike reaches 50% for the first time during a wave, he Cleanses himself of all debuffs and immediately uses On a Roll. This effect activates again when he reaches 1 HP.

Enemies that are Scared while already Scared take 20% of their max HP as bonus Fantastic damage. This bonus damage can trigger the Stun from Fight or Fright.

The bonus damage can fail against enemies above level X."


Friend Campaign Disks

Disk #1 - Sulley & Boo

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Skill Power bonus by 700%
  • Added Star Effect: Also gain the same amount of Energy when damaging a Scared enemy

Disk #2 - Jack-Jack

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Basic Damage bonus by 700%
  • Added Level Effect: Basic Attacks deal X True damage to enemies immune to Fantastic damage
  • Current Star Effect: Attack Speed bonus increased to 10% (+10% per additional star)
  • Added Star Effect: Mike’s Basic Attacks reduce the cooldown of Canister Toss by 0.5 (+0.5 per additional star) seconds

New Refresh Concept: The Beast

A tale as old as time–a melee powerhouse becomes outclassed and powercrept and can no longer handle the trials and tribulations of the modern day. Beast’s incredible ferocity is far too easy to be neutered, and so we shall do something about it. A few simple changes is all it takes.


The Refresh

General

  • The Beast’s badges have been adjusted, granting him 70% Armor Negation and 80% Tenacity at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 100%
  • Skill power increased by 150%
  • HP increased by 200%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Rage of the Beast

  • Increased healing by 100%
  • New effect: The Beast gains 40% damage mitigation while Berserk

“The Beast roars and becomes Berserk for 10 seconds. While Berserk, his attack and movement speeds are increased by 200%, he heals X HP each time he crits an enemy, he gains 40% damage mitigation, and he cannot fall below 1 HP.”

:green_circle: Green Skill - Brutal Blow

  • New effect: When this ability super crits, the affected targets also take X additional True damage

"Every 3 basic attacks, The Beast performs a double strike to hit enemies twice, critting both times. If The Beast super crits with this ability, the targets also take X additional True damage.

This skill has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."

:large_blue_circle: Blue Skill - Leaping Claw

  • Increased damage by 150%
  • Both the initial cooldown and total cooldown have been reduced by 6 seconds
  • New effect: The Beast gains Shell for 4 seconds after using this ability

"The Beast leaps and slashes nearby enemies, dealing X damage and knocking them back.

The Beast then gains Shell for 4 seconds, causing enemy debuffs to not affect The Beast but instead bounce back at the enemy team at random.

The Shell has a chance to fail above level X."

:purple_circle: Purple Skill - Battle Instincts

  • New effect: For 6 seconds after the Beast KOs an enemy, the Beast’s basic attacks remove 2 random buffs from affected enemies

"The Beast gains X+70 Crit Damage. Each point of Crit Damage above an enemy’s level increases the damage done from crits by 1%.

In addition, for 6 seconds after The Beast KO’s an enemy, his basic attacks remove 2 random buffs from affected enemies."

:red_circle: Red Skill - Beastly Brawl

  • Removed the cooldown from the armor removal and silence
  • New effect: The Beast cannot be affected by Fatigue

"When The Beast crits an enemy, he removes X Armor from them for 8 seconds. If The Beast super crits an enemy, he also Silences them for 5 seconds.

Additionally, The Beast cannot be affected by Fatigue."


Friend Campaign Disks

Disk #1 - Sulley & Boo

  • Current Level Effect: Increased Rage of the Beast activation damage by 100%, and it now affects all enemies instead of just Damage role enemies
  • Added Level Effect: +X Basic Damage
  • Added Star Effect: When Rage of the Beast’s basic attack healing affects the Beast while at full HP, he turns 8% (+8% per additional star) of the overhealing into a shield that lasts until destroyed

Disk #2 - Belle

  • Current Level Effect: Increased bonus HP by 200%
  • Current Star Effect: Now Slows both attack and movement speed and affects the entire enemy team when dodging a Scare
  • Added Star Effect: The Beast deals 15% (+15% per additional star) additional damage to Slowed enemies

New Refresh Concept: EVE

EVE is in an odd place where her base stats, while bad, aren’t the most terrible things in the world–her skills are. Oh boy howdy, are EVE’s skills bad. To even call her a Damage character is an insult to the concept of damage itself. Bumping up those numbers, as well as bolstering her existing utility, should give this little robot the edge she needs to fulfill her function.


The Refresh

General

  • EVE’s badges have been adjusted, granting her roughly 60% Tenacity and 20% Conservation at most Red and Yellow ranks.

Base Stats

  • Basic damage increased by 100%
  • Skill power increased by 50%
  • HP increased by 150%
  • Base attack speed increased by 30%

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill - Hand Cannon

  • Increased damage to primary target by 200% and secondary target by 250%
  • The secondary attack now hits all other enemies instead of splashing
  • New effect: If EVE uses this skill on a disabled enemy, EVE spreads that disable to all other enemies, lasting for 6 seconds
  • New effect: If EVE uses this skill on the closest non-disabled enemy, EVE applies a random disable to that target for 6 seconds

"EVE fires her plasma cannon at the closest disabled enemy, dealing X damage and spreading the disable to all other enemies, lasting for 6 seconds. All other enemies take X damage.

She has defensive abilities that don’t defend her! Nothing is going right for this angsty teenager (except for some rather alright base stats) and it’s just making her angst harder. With some changes, this moody maiden might actually be welcome to join the team for once.

By offering only damage and nothing else, Scrooge is especially vulnerable to powercreep. By being terrible at dealing damage, Scrooge is failing at his only job. But it’s okay. We can fix it. The rich are getting richer today!

New Refresh Concept: Miss Piggy

Another tragic tale. This pig never really got to fly, despite elements of her kit being very strong. Miss Piggy is meant to be a melee powerhouse who can slip past a lot of disables and deliver some real punishment, only able to be stopped by brute force. But unfortunately, all it takes to take this pig to market is a stiff breeze. With a few tweaks, Miss Piggy could truly be a terrifying foe, so let’s let her live that dream.

New Refresh Concept: Yzma

You probably forgot Yzma was even in the game, didn’t you? On the face of things, she doesn’t seem like an obvious candidate for a Refresh–since her ability numbers are…not the worst, and her base stats are not bad at all–but when you consider her extremely low usage by players of all levels, it kinda paints a picture of a unit that doesn’t have any place to fit in. Perhaps some additional damage, utility, and control is what this manic maniac needs.

  • The effects of Yzma’s Red Skill that allow her basic attacks and the debuffs from Alchemy to splash to enemies in an area are now innate effects of Yzma’s basic attacks.

New Refresh Concept: Huey, Dewey, & Louie

So the idea here isn’t bad, but the execution is lacking. Their traps are too few to be reliable, don’t stun for nearly long enough, and the boys themselves are too frail and feeble to manipulate the battlefield like they clearly want to. Let’s give these ducks a little more quack, shall we?

  • New Star Effect: Dematerializer also applies 1 stack of Fatigue per star (to a maximum of 5 stacks at 5 stars) to affected enemies, and when a stack of Fatigue is removed from an enemy, one random ally has a 20% chance per star (to a maximum of 100% chance at 5 stars) to gain 1 stack of Hardy

Disk #2 - Donald Duck

  • Current Level Effect: Increased healing by 75%
  • Added Level Effect: +X Basic Damage

Unless new ranks… but pb seems to not caring since Y5.

Not caring to SOME heroes.

HDL’S Fantastic Crit is fine for now, but PB needs a very good reality negation badge to stick on them, like they did to Jack Sparrow at R19.
